Rustic modern style Small HOUSE

This 40 sqm house offers a great escape to the countryside. The original building was erected in the 80's and in 2024 it has got a stone extension to shelter a bedroom, which opens to a beautiful terrace with glass railing. The aim of the architectural concept of the extension was to integrate it into the landscape as much as possible, so the local natural stone – used already on the farm for the slopes’ retaining walls - was chosen for the walls of the extension. Seen from a distance, the new part blends in unnoticed into the landscape.

The interior's color scheme was inspired by the old, green tiled stove, which was replaced and renewed during the reconstruction project. The wallpaper's green and blue aquarelle motifs creates a bridge between the outdoor and the indoor. During the reconstruction a part of the ceiling was removed above the living room area, creating a more spacious and lighter interior and a mezzanine level above the kitchen which provides enough space for a double mattress. The huge built-in wardrobe hides the fridge and lot of storage space, the washing-machine is built into the kitchen cupboard providing full comfort to the residents. Thanks to the glass railing of the terrace, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the nature, while lying on the double bed in the bedroom.
